You're Fired - maybe.

So obviously I was naive to think that accounting is completely recession proof. Three people from our department were laid off on Friday. Argh.
The boss said that the bloodbath was over "for now". Argh again. I don't know what "for now" means. But H and I are definitely on the bottom rung of things, and pretty vulnerable if and when there is a round two.

SUCK. I'm sure they'll keep y'all and fire people who make more than you do. That's what they did at my last job. Really inspired company loyalty.

Yikes girl, we are praying for you guys. We know how you feel. Gary got laid off once and it was awful but we were blessed in the end and it was short lived. But we never wanted to experience that again, and drug research is extremely volatile, especially in a recession, hince pharmacy school. We are positive that if Gary hadn't gone back to school we would be out of a job.

I'm sure you guys will be fine. You are good people and the Lord loves you. I'm sure you won't lose your jobs but I know it is so scarey. We love you guys!

Angelo just found a job on Friday after being unemployed for 3 months so I know how you feel. I don't think anyone is safe right now regardless of what a family "deserves". I hope everything works out for the both of you. You and H will be in our thoughts and prayers.

ugh! You guys are in my thoughts and prayers. I'm sorry you have to deal with the worry of everyday wondering if something bad is about to happen. I hate that! This recession really sucks. I'm sure there is a lot of good that can come from it, and things to learn, buy mostly I think it just sucks!

So, I was just noticing that my first comment was all, "hey, hope someone else loses their job and not you." Very crass of me. What I mean is that I hope NOBODY loses their jobs. And if someone does, not you. Seriously, I'm rude.
